Introducing our Problem Solving Team

This stellar group of 4 bends over backwards every day to ensure our customers receive the best service possible. We appreciate their hard work and dedication and we’re sure you’d appreciate their cheery disposition and eagerness to help. Meet our customer service and tech team--Betsy, Harmony, Brian & Taffy.

They work together to provide both technical support and customer service for our 3 product lines: Drill Doctor, Work Sharp and Darex.  They work closely, calling upon each other’s knowledge when necessary to make sure they are providing customers with the best service possible. At Darex, rigorous training on the product lines begins with actually working on the production line.  They all have experience building the machines we support so they know the inner workings well.  (Here’s where it will cut off and say “read More”)

Betsy has been with Darex for over 15 years and her experience working in different departments over the years makes her invaluable!  She has worked extensively with the Darex industrial line, both in assembly and sales, so she is definitely our ‘go to girl’ when we are stumped.  Customers with older, discontinued Darex machines needing technical support usually find their answers with Betsy. 

Harmony has been with Darex since 2009 and her patience is unmatched. She brings with her over 10 years of experience working in customer service and has admitted that she now knows what NOT to do when assisting customers.  She likes to walk while talking on the phone so you can often see her outside on nice days. 

Brian has been with Darex for 8 years.  He, like Betsy, has experience working in different departments, including assembly and sales. In fact, Brian still works half time in assembly and half in technical support.  Talk about someone who knows the machines!  He really enjoys assuring customers that their machine will indeed do what it’s supposed to. 

Taffy is the newest member of our team.  She has worked in customer service for many years, and she owned a small hardware store so has a history of working with tools.  She provides technical support to all 3 of the product lines, and you can often find her in the warehouse working on the machines.  Because she enjoys working with her hands, she also likes pitching in and working in assembly when there is a need.

Darex Employee Garden Club

Here at Darex our employees take pride in keeping the company, and themselves healthy. One way they stay healthy is by growing their own organic produce in the Darex employee garden.  About two years ago some employees decided they wanted to convert part of the field behind Darex into a garden. Now the garden club has about twelve members, and one club leader who organizes meetings about the garden, and assigns people to water and weed every day. This year the garden has fruit trees, berries, a plethora of greens, tomatoes, tomatillos, peppers, squash, cucumber, and even an herb garden! In a further effort to reduce the impact we have on the environment, the club has begun making their own compost, using food scraps and coffee grounds from the office.
